Who we are
Musimee is operated by LP Digital Records LLC, a company registered in the State of Florida, United States, based in Hollywood, FL 33019, USA. We are the controller of the personal data described in this policy. For anything about privacy, write to [email protected].
This policy covers the musimee.com website, your song page, your library and the e-mails we send.
What we keep
We keep only what it takes to make, deliver and look after your song.
- What you tell us in the quiz: the name of the person the song is for, your relationship, the occasion, the story, the moments and the answers you choose. That is what the lyric is written from.
- Your contact details: name, e-mail, country and, if you give it, phone number. That is how the preview and the full song reach you.
- If you continue with Google: when you tap "Continue with Google" in the order, Google sends us your name and your e-mail — nothing else: no password, no contacts, no other data from your account. The button is Google's own and, when it appears, it talks to Google, which follows its own privacy policy.
- The payment: amount, currency, date and method. We never see or store your card number — it goes straight to the payment processor, certified to the industry standard.
- Photos and videos of your Moment: if you create the video of your song, the photos are processed on your own device. We keep only the finished video, so you can open and share it.
- Technical data: IP address, approximate country, device type and browser. They set the currency and payment methods of your country, help prevent fraud and keep the site working.
- How you use the site and your library: the pages and buttons you use, the quiz steps you saw, how long you spent on each and the options you chose (the text you are typing only reaches us when you send the order), when you listen to the preview and the song, what you share, and the suggestions you saw, tapped or dismissed. This is linked to an identifier of our own, kept in your browser.
What we use it for
- Making your song: writing the lyric and producing the track from what you told us.
- Delivering and keeping it: sending the preview and the full song by e-mail and keeping them in your library.
- Helping you: answering support, correcting the lyric, remaking the song.
- Charging once: processing the payment and issuing the receipt.
- Keeping you posted on your order: e-mails for the preview, the delivery, your access code and reminders about an order you started. These are part of the service.
- News and offers: when you accept the terms on your order, you receive Musimee news and offers by e-mail (songs, plans and products). Every such e-mail has a one-click link to stop.
- Measuring advertising: knowing whether an ad led to a purchase, with protected identifiers. It lets us pay less per ad and charge less per song.
- Suggesting at the right moment and improving the service: from your purchases, your answers, what you tell us in the order and how you use the site, we show in your library and in our e-mails what makes sense for you — the next song and who it is for, the video, the Club or a release — and we use all of it to improve the site, the quiz and the library, find what fails and build what comes next. Part of this analysis is automated and uses artificial intelligence. You can ask not to receive personalised suggestions at any time.
We do not sell personal data. Your story is used to make your song and, for orders placed from 29 September 2026, also for your suggestions. It is never shown to anyone else.
Who we share it with
We work with providers who process data on our behalf, each for its own function and under contract:
- a payment processor, which receives the amount and the card details;
- hosting and content delivery providers, where the site and the songs live;
- music composition providers, which receive your story and answers only to write and produce your song;
- artificial intelligence providers, which analyse what you tell us and how you use the site only to put your suggestions together, without using that data to train their own models;
- an e-mail delivery provider, through which messages leave;
- advertising platforms, which receive conversion signals with protected identifiers.
Beyond these, we share data only where the law requires it or to protect rights, safety or property — ours, yours or others'.
Where the data lives
We are a US company, and data is processed in the United States and in other countries where our providers operate. When data leaves your country, we apply the safeguards the law provides, such as standard contractual clauses.
For how long
- Previews that were not bought: deleted 30 days after creation, with the story and the audio.
- Songs you bought: kept in your library for as long as it exists. You can ask for deletion at any time.
- Payment records: kept for as long as tax law requires.
- Support conversations: kept while they are useful to help you, and for as long as the law requires.
- Site usage records: deleted within 180 days; for people who never bought, within 30 days.
Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask for:
- access to what we keep about you;
- correction of something wrong;
- deletion of your data, where we are not required to keep it;
- portability, in a readable format;
- objection to, or restriction of, a specific use;
- to stop receiving news e-mails — through the link in every e-mail, or by writing to us.
Just write to [email protected] from the e-mail used on the order. We answer within the time your country's law sets. If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, Brazil or California, you also have the right to complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies and browser storage
We use the minimum: a cookie that remembers the language you chose, your library access kept in your browser, and advertising platform identifiers to measure campaigns. You can clear or block all of it in your browser settings; the site keeps working. We also keep an identifier of our own, which links visits from the same browser to measure the quiz and the suggestions; it lasts 13 months and is not shared with anyone.
Children
Musimee is a service for adults. Many songs are about children — sons, daughters, grandchildren, godchildren — and it is you, the adult, who decides what to tell about them. We do not ask children for data directly.
Security
Data travels encrypted, access is limited to those who need it, and payments never pass through our servers. No system is infallible; if something happens to your data, we tell you and the authorities as the law requires.
Changes to this policy
When we change something that matters, the date at the end of this page changes and, for an important change, we tell you by e-mail.
